My name is Shani Berry. I am a mum of one, residing in Devon, using all my experience from the industry to look after my little guest at home! I worked on yachts for 12 years, and in that time, I was a Deck/Stew, Sole Stew, Cook/Stew and Chief Stew. I worked on sailing vessels, motor yachts, privately owned and busy charter boats, I’ve had racing programs and was lucky enough to have worldwide itineraries including the South Pacific and Asia. I absolutely love the industry, It’s in its own category of hospitality. The crew push themselves to their limits, giving the most efficient, relaxed, flawless service, always striving to improve and in that mix, they are also sailing, living with their co-workers and travelling the world. I jumped at the chance to be on the judging panel because I love that we have a platform to support and celebrate each other, it’s a pleasure to be involved.
