Giverny grew up in Plettenberg Bay, a small beachside town in South Africa. Having studied Interior Design, she explored the world of elements to balance harmonious atmospheres. Her knowledge in design paired with experience in the hospitality industry gave her an insight for the importance of wine and food pairing in creating an experience-of-the senses for cliental. In search of advancement, it became clear to merge her interests and work on board yachts, to her vocation as a Chief Stewardess. Working as a part of a strong and dedicated team on AWOL makes for an elated and gratifying experience for both Crew and Guests. Giverny has worked as a team with Captain Tristan Mortlock, for the same company since 2012. Giverny has worked ardently in the design and refit work of 2 yachts, including AWOL. She understands the elements involved in creating the desired moods during any occasion. Be it a warm welcome, aromatic dinner, a comfortable snooze, a fun-family-getaway or an impressive event. Giverny enthusiastically takes on every detail to attain creative, professional and personalised results to reach above guest aspirations.Giverny and her team on AWOL, recently won 1st Place for 3 competitions at the MYBA Yacht show in Barcelona 2018. The Table Scaping competition, Meet and Greet and the Chef’s Competition. They are very proud of their achievements after working so hard and investing so much, personally into making AWOL – A Way Of Life.
