My name is Manthos Gaitis and i am from Greece. From the early years of my life I was attracted by the sea. As soon as, I graduated from the high school in 1982, I started my marine studies in Aspropyrgos Marine Academy. I completed my studies with the rank of apprentice deck officer. Over the years, I managed to get the second officers certificate, then the chief officers and at the end the Captains Unlimited Certificate. I used to work on Cruise ships, Container vessels , cargo ships and tankers. For some years, I worked in shipping companies as a broker and as an operator of cargo ships. During my service in shipping companies I broaden my horizons doing further studies. I graduated from the department of Social Policy- Social Anthropology of PANTEION UNIVERSITY, and I continued my studies with an MBA in UNIVERCITY OF AEGEAN, faculty Shipping Trade and Transport.
Up to 2004, I had experienced all the aspects of being an officer in different types of vessels , so now, It was about time to join the yachting industry. During the last 18 years I have been serving as a captain in several impressive motor yachts. My present vessel is the very famous private yacht Kingdom 5KR.
