After the devastating Hurricane Dorian the left a trail of disaster in the wake. We Just had to get there and help.
Loon took in over 19 first responders, 12 tons of aid supplies and was on station in the Abacos for 10 days before being relieved. We beat The Bahamas Defence force, the Coast guard and the Royal Marines arriving only 3 days after the storm had passed.
This is something that all yacht owners and crew should be prepared to do if they happen to be in the right place at the right time to render assistance.
Working with Yacht Aid Global this has been one of my and my crews biggest life achievements and one that we are preparing to do again as the 2020 Hurricane season beings.
