Some call me the  ‘Conscious Captain!!’ perhaps the ‘Crazy Captain!’ is better based on some of the green challenges we face, but I see us captains and crew being a fundamental part of making this an industry to be proud of.

I discovered the love of the Sea when I first circumnavigated the Globe in 1995. From my time as captain, I have seen some of the beautiful places the Oceans can offer and the damage we have done taking these places for granted.

Though the challenge for the superyacht industry to be green can feel insurmountable, I have had the pleasure to work with a great crew who have taken up the challenge and made real steps and provide a better service to guests through their motivation! It has made me proud to work with them.
Setting up Blue ESG I want to use good data to inform and enable anyone who wants to make the decisions that make a big difference.

Looking ahead, I have seen some of the exciting advancements in the industry. I believe luxury cruising can be part of a sustainable future and, with improvements in technology, an asset for research and monitoring the most precious parts of our seas.
