In a hands on and practical workshop Gavin, Romain and Christophe from GREMCO will demonstrate how to perform some of the most useful basic and more advanced techniques for deck. Participants will be given plenty of opportunity to get their hands on some rope and spend time practicing the techniques for themselves with support from the guys.
The techniques covered will include The Eye Splice and Whipping. During the workshop there will plenty of time to interact with the facilitators and your fellow crew to ask questions about any aspects of ropes and rigging, and time will be allocated at the end to respond to specific, common questions that have come up throughout the session. For each technique a range of applications will be shared, as well as the relative strengths of using different ropes for the task in hand.
A highly interactive and practical experience not to be missed.
