In this scenario based workshop Wayne Britton from Securewest International, maritime security specialists, will present the principles of staying safe onshore, onboard and online through presenting real life case studies and asking crew, What Happens Next? Crew will have the opportunity to play out various scenarios in discussion, sharing their own experiences and questions. These will be fed back to the group as a whole as Wayne explains the recommended protocols in each scenario, explaining how the risk is then reduced.
Crew safety is a fundamental element that should be at the heart of all practice. The workshop is designed to be appropriate for individuals in terms of increasing their own awareness of their safety and for those with a duty of care to their crew.
