After graduating from Hannover University as a master of science for energy and process technology he worked in research projects related to liquefied hydrogen until the early 90ies. His dissertation is related to a ship propulsion system based on this fuel. He is now working as Business Director LNG fueled ships with DNV after being in classification business as coordinator for gas technology, project manager, research engineer and technical consultant on process technology, energy efficiency matters and liquefied gases.
