Margarita was the first person & first woman to develop an app in yachting.
She was also the first to develop standardisation and application of maintenance & hygiene routines.
Her company IMS GmbH specialises also in consulting on +7* interior projects from build to operations.
Besides pushing for more recognition for interior crew and being taken serious as departments,
Margarita also actively supports other women and people of ethnicity.
Founding platforms like “YachtiesUnited” and the upcoming “GRIT unlocked” will enable crew and management to move from talk to action on diversity and inclusion.
Margarita is formally educated in hospitality management and worked 10 years on land (Bremen, Hamburg, New York) before joining yachting and serving actively on board yachts (“Faith”, “Steel”, “Go”, Sapphire”, “Radiant”) for 8 years.
Her empathy and engagement in social causes is rooted in her upbringing.
Coming from a large family of Greek/Pakistani descent while working her way up on land (from pot washer to project manager) and on board (from junior stew to chef, interior manager, purser to PA) taught her a lot and she continues to learn and sharing it this with others.
