Laura was born and raised in Barcelona, Spain. Since she was a child, she had a strong passion for the beauty industry, leading her to set up and open her own tattoo and beauty center at the age of 21. She specialized in advanced treatments such as semi-permanent makeup, micro-needling, advanced massage techniques, and medical tattooing, which is now commonly used for treating cancer patients post-treatment, one of Laura’s most in-demand services.
After successfully selling her business in 2020, she decided to join the yachting industry as a Spa Stewardess. Since then, she has worked on a range of vessels from 30m to 100m+, where she was involved in all facets of the interior, from high-end service to implementing housekeeping and laundry procedures for her team. Laura is proficient in a multitude of massage styles, including Deep Tissue, Esalen Massage, and Hot Stone. She even created her own massage method, the Deep Release massage, a technique based on deep tissue and Thai massage, using the masseuse’s body weight to perform the massage and reduce the risk of professional injuries such as tendonitis. This method was developed after years of working in the demanding yachting industry and performing up to 10 massages daily.
Laura is a certified massage teacher and combines teaching massage courses with her Stewardess duties onboard busy charter yachts. At the moment, she is freelancing and running her own brand, Solstice, a platform she created to offer guidance, support, and training to other spa stews, stew masseuses, and wellness professionals aiming to work in yachting.
