Starting her yachting career at 18, Steph was coming to the end of her college Diploma in Media and Film production in Plymouth, England.
Seeking independence and adventure. She didn’t just want a regular job, she wanted a job that would teach her the tools she needed to navigate life. Perfectly aligning with her curiosity, she dove head first into the diverse world of yachting. Now being 22, she has developed many skills and professional capabilities ensuring to deliver attentive guest service, collaborative team work and mindful efficiency when working as a stewardess onboard private and charter motor yacht vessels.
She is committed to contributing to a positive working environment with her bubbly personality, empathy for others and high spirited energy. With a “the show must go on” attitude she’s no stranger to unpredictable itinerary changes, ability to flip a boat in a matter of hours and miraculously being in two places at once. To Steph, no ask is too big or too small, even more so when at a request of a guest. She feels a smile goes a long way.
Although still young, Steph feels lucky to have been guided by knowledgeable and inspiring mentors, helping her to become a forward-thinking and innovative stewardess. Her commitment to reliability extends beyond her own interior department. Whether it be using her experience from a previous 3rd Stew/Deck position to assist with docking and mooring procedures or general vigilance to ensure onboard safety at all times.
Her favorite thing about yachting would be the sense of joy she feels when seeing the guests happy and impressed by a tablescape or even watching the sun come up whilst setting up the table for breakfast service.
Steph is a dedicated crew member, always ready for her next challenge and adventure on the seas. Her journey so far reflects her passion for growth and development within this industry and is grateful to have been nominated for this award.
