Valia joined the PYA in 2016 as the Service Record Book Manager. In her daily activities, she is responsible for verifying sea service and providing help and advice to seafarers with regards to sea time and certification. Before joining the PYA, she worked as a yachting lawyer for many years, handling sale agreements for yachts, yacht flag registration and yacht tax matters. She holds an LLB and LLM in Law from the University of Southampton.
