This workshop will provide an overview of different types of lines & rope and when to use them: we will examine the different materials and try to explain how this affects the strength, abrasions resistance and ease of use.
In a practical session, you will get the opportunity to explore the dark-art of splicing, the various methods used for ropes with high modulus fibre cores and the tools needed to fulfil the task at hand. We will also practice those ‘knots’ you need to know followed by a Q&A session at the end of the workshop.
