Wound Care & Suturing Workshop

During a busy med season, the chef slices his hand open leaving a heavily bleeding wound, or a loose rope slashes a deckhand’s leg during a regatta, what are you next actions? In this introductory session, come and recall how to treat minor and more major wounds, and refresh your suturing skills on life-like tissue, using a pig hock. We will also demonstrate taking vital signs with a Tempus IC2 unit, to obtain critical support from a medical professional, via video and bluetooth headset.
