Teresa Guimaraes

I was born in a sea side city in Brazil, I always had been in touch with the sea. I have a degree in Advertising and Marketing. After finishing university I was living for 1 year in Montreal where I learned French. I was working on the independent cinema industry for a few years when I decided to visit my brother in Sint Maarten. In the island I fall in love with the boat life so I decided to leave behind my life in Brazil and start to work as stewardess on luxury yachts. I am really good in getting along with the people, on my marketing bachelor I learned about human behave, what makes me a nice and alert hostess. While living in Sint Maarten I improved my English skills and managed to get my first job on a 124ft Schooner charter boat. I was working for two years on this Schooner and also on the 177ft Ketch belonging to the same owner. I always had a great attention for details, I am smily and my cocktails are always a success, so soon I became Chief Stewardess and as Chief Stew I had done one Atlantic crossing with 5 guests on board and regattas as well. Since then I was sailing in the Med, in the Caribbean and in South of Florida on different sailing yachts and also on a motor yacht, where I won a second place on the tablescaping competition of Antigua Yacht Charter Boat Show. I have a big passion for the sea and I enjoy to welcome and get in touch with people from all over the world.
