MedAire and RDT, a Phillips company, are considered forerunners in supporting superyachts implement best practice onboard for handling medical emergencies. MedAire Director for New Builds Tony Nicholson will lead a conversation around learning about trends in due diligence, clinical governance and considerations for wellness programs can support an optimal running vessel. Having worked with some of the world’s largest yachts Tony is able to show examples of how linking your insurer to your assistance provider and direct billing agreements have proven to be key pillars in medical best practice onboard. We’ll go on to open up the conversation to explore what we can learn by benchmarking such practices against other industries to continuously improve the safety and responsiveness of vessels in all medical emergency incidents.
