Superyacht crews may be well-trained to handle illness and injury while onboard with standard medical resources available, but what about when escorting owners or guests on the tender or while on-shore? Focus of this session will include an overview of medical equipment that is essential for the tender and on-shore environment, as well as how to recognize and manage illness and injuries while away from the vessel and without standard onboard medical equipment and resources. Discussion includes an overview of how to recognise and take immediate action when a life threatening medical event occurs, utilising the resources available to you through MedAire.
