Richard has always been passionate about the Internet, cyber security and privacy related matters, dating right back to his undergraduate degree in Internet Technology from Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge.
After graduating, Richard pursued a career in telecommunications and IT security; working in various industries and sectors, such as finance, oil and gas, public services and satellite communications, he soon gained a profound knowledge of the field and its intricate workings.
Always keen to develop and progress Richard obtained Masters of Science degree in Cyber Security with the Northumbria University. This background was the perfect training ground for the challenges posed by modern cyber security, so to put his knowledge to good use and provide cyber security for the yachting community, which he felt the market was lacking, combined with his love of the sea, he decided to set up Pelion Consulting International in 2018.
