Samantha Morris

I first fell in love with the sea, on a cruise vacation with my father and thought how lucky the crew were onboard, to be enjoying the work/travel experience repeatedly. I had always wanted to travel the world and working onboard a vessel was an excellent opportunity to combine my passion for numbers with my longing to travel.

Whilst working on Cruise Ships, we would occasionally dock in port, in the Caribbean and I would see various yachts berthed close by, it was here that I began my desire for the yachting industry.

Since joining the yachting industry, I am highly motivated, confident, caring and a hardworking Purser with over 4 years’ experience within the role. I always have a desire to succeed, work with a positive mindset and I naturally build good relationships with people.

During 2020 along with many of my crew, I remained onboard for a period of many months due to the travel restrictions of the global pandemic. In return I have spent the last 5 months on vacation and used this time to grow my self development. I am now certified in Advanced Leadership and Mental Health First Aid both subjects which I feel very passionate about especially in our current situations.

Mental Health is often brushed under the carpets or has a stigma around the subject and I believe that this should change.

I spend my spare time helping and assisting other crew to progress and succeed within our industry and their personal goals.
