Grace Dvornik is a freelance yacht chef from Clearwater Beach, Florida. Growing up cooking in her grandparent’s kitchen, she draws inspiration from family recipes, chef friends and mentors, and her various international travels. Grace describes her culinary style as “upscale, down-home cooking” and strives to cater specifically to her client’s dietary requests while recreating their favorite meals with a personal flare in order to serve food that is meaningful or tells a story.
As a yacht chef, Grace has freelanced on private and charter yachts ranging from 60-130ft. throughout the Caribbean, Bahamas, and East Coast USA. She has also worked as a personal chef and sous chef on private estates in New England, Florida, and St. Barth’s, private islands in the Bahamas, and a 15,000 acre cattle ranch in Wyoming. Grace has had the privilege to work for an array of high profile clientele including innovators in technology, former U.S. politicians, and Middle Eastern royalty.
In December 2020, Grace released a digital cookbook entitled “Grace’s Upscale Down-Home Cookbook” which features 27 of her favorite tried and true recipes, inspired by both family recipes and dishes she has served onboard yachts. A portion of proceeds from each cookbook sold are donated to Love IV Lawrence – a nonprofit with a mission to de-stigmatize depression and suicide, provide grants to other mental health organizations, and train community members in mental health first aid.
Grace has professional training and certifications from George Brown Chef School (Toronto, ON) and Ashburton Chefs Academy (Devon, UK) and is a proud brand ambassador for Messermeister knives and Greensbury Market. She has been honored to be featured in multiple publications including interviews with The Superyacht Chef, Flightess, ISWAN, Oceanscape Yachts, and Dockwalk Magazine.
When not traveling for work, Grace is based in Clearwater, FL, where she enjoys dining at local restaurants, visiting farmer’s markets, and testing new recipes to share with family and friends. Grace is thrilled to receive her second nomination for the Chef Award, after being recognized as a Top 3 Finalist in 2020.
