I grew up on a farm on the East Coast of Australia, where my love for the outdoors was born. I entered the industry in the Summer Mediterranean season 10 years ago and have not looked back since. I have always been passionate about the industry and eager to learn, not just about the interior department, but all the departments onboard. I started out painting the bilges of the Engine Room and was forever curious about all aspects of the industry even down to the legislation. I completed my Superyacht Operations Diploma in 2015 and my Medical Care at Sea in 2016.
In 2016 I stepped up to Chief Stewardess onboard with the support and help of some lifelong friends and mentors.
These days, onboard Motor Yacht Arience. I am not only proud to wear the uniform because I got to select it in the beginning with the help of my amazing fellow crew at the time, but because of the people whom I get to wear it alongside. Over the years, what I have discovered I value the most in this industry are the people I get to share my time with. My biggest motto onboard is ‘attitude is everything’ – and the success onboard comes from the sum of its parts – we are only as strong as our weakest person on any given day. The crew are not only colleagues, but family, and I am grateful for all their continued efforts and support – they truly are amazing and I could not be more grateful!
More recently, I have completed my Purser Course with Sandra Jordaan gaining Purser Student of the year in 2020 and I hope to continue to deliver the skills I have learnt to continue to grow and build success within our team.
Thank you to the amazing crew onboard Yacht Arience and for the nomination.
