Gabriela Barragan

Gabriela Barragán is from San Diego, California, U.S.A. After spending more than a decade in the hospitality industry working at luxury hotels and restaurants around the country, she decided to take her skills to the sea as a superyacht stewardess and deckhand.
Gabriela has been a freelance deck/stew and sole stewardess for a year and is expanding her horizons by venturing into various sectors of the industry. With her candid, outspoken style, Gabriela has landed a gig hosting a podcast called Diversity in Yachting on Yachting International Radio. Gabriela enjoys connecting with yachties from all around the world and from all walks of life. She enjoys hearing their stories and discussing how the yachting industry can move forward with diversity and inclusion. She hopes to spread awareness and be a part of the change, while also encouraging and inspiring other minorities to join the industry.
Most recently, Gabriela has joined the founding team of Yacht Club Company in Tulum, Mexico as a client relations specialist. The companies mission is to create bespoke yacht charters for the African diaspora and introduce BIPOC to the world of yachting by offering tailored, affordable day charters from Cancun, Isla Mujeres, to Tulum. She loves connecting with clients, booking charters, managing social media, and using her knowledge of yachting to help grow the brand and contribute to the standard of the company.
