Andrew has been a professional chef for 17 years. He began his career joining the Royal Navy as a chef in 2007 and was quickly promoted to leading chef. Andrew got selected to join the Royal Navy competitive culinary arts team and then subsequently selected for the combined services competitive culinary arts team competing at the London Hotel Olympia and the IKA International Culinary Olympics. During his Royal Navy career he was selected as a chef lecturer, training the next generation of maritime chefs. From there he got promoted to personal chef for the Admiral Fleet Commander. During Andrew’s 13 year career in the Navy he was awarded the Worshipful Company of Cooks senior chef of the year twice and nominated for the Craft Guild of Chefs Armed Forces, chef of the year twice. Andrew appeared on UK masterchef The Professionals TV show progressing to the final 5 chefs out of 48. During his time on masterchef he got awarded 3 times the dish of the day. He opened his own restaurant after leaving the Navy achieving 5 stars across the board on Trip Advisor, Open Table and Google reviews as well as the Open Table diners choice award 2 years consecutively. Currently Andrew is the proud head chef of Motor Yacht Naia and lives in Cornwall UK with his wife and 3 children.
