Jo is a Registered Nurse with extensive experience in trauma and refugees in Africa. Her hospital work focused on orthopaedics and the operating theatre. While living in South Africa she ran a paediatric health and nutrition scheme, attending to toddlers in the townships. Also an offshore sailor, Jo has logged many nautical miles both racing and cruising. As an experienced onboard medic she knows from experience how medical emergencies at sea often require a different approach. As a holder of an RYA Yachtmaster Offshore certificate she is an authority on all things medical onboard, especially those relating to children.
