Jon Rysst is educated from Norwegian Technical University and holds a M.Sc. degree in Marine Engineering. He has worked in the maritime and offshore industry all his career both inside and outside DNV GL.
Before he took his current position, he has held management positions in DNV GL since 1995 in different locations, latest as regional manager for DNVGL Maritime North Europe. Before he started to work for DNV GL he has worked for a maritime engineering company and at The Norwegian Maritime Research Institute.
Beyond the focus on yachts he is also responsible for developing the cooperation with OEMs to support the digital transformation in the maritime industry and further development of the DNVGL products and services based on the trusted independent role of the company.
