Born in Petrópolis, a mountain town in the middle of the forest in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Marco Lima as he likes to be called, the Chef has a postgraduate degree in Gastronomy and has 2 specializations in the area. He has already worked on TV Shows on the biggest Brazilian broadcasters.
The chef has also worked in renowned restaurants in Rio de Janeiro and Curitiba; and also had a great experience at Hospital Marcelino Champagnat, a renowned hospital in Brazil.
But of course, it was watching his grandparents cooking that the chef acquired the concept of comfort food and based it on real food!
For 10 years, Marco has been working as a private chef on yachts and villas in the Caribbean, USA, and Mediterranean. Acting both in villas and in boats, true floating mansions. The chef says he works an average of 16 hours a day when the owners and friends are on board; it’s a pretty heavy routine; having to prepare all meals following all dietary restrictions, such as vegan and gluten-free. In addition to the desserts, true works of art.
In 2018 and 2019, chef Marco was the winner of the Acrew Awards and today he is honored to be able to contribute as a juror for this great event in the yacht sector.
