Yachts and sailing boats of all sizes can request an entry permit for the purpose of refuelling. Special permission must be requested in advance. Baltra fuel station
– The single fuel dock in the Galapagos is located in the Aeolian Bay on the island of Baltra
– Fueling is delivered through two ex-pipes. One is 25 metres with a flow of 250 to 450 litres per minute. The other is 35 metres with a flow of 100 to 250 litres per minute
Docking
The main dock of the fuel terminal is 260 ft in length and 32 ft deep at high tide. Dockage is available stern and alongside. Camlock fittings are 2 and 3 inches; male and female are both available.
Terms & Conditions
The yacht owner/company/broker must cover all the bank charges for the transactions.
The fuel station is a government facility; therefore, some paperwork must be done before the fueling.
Yacht Agents Galapagos need to know the exact amount of fuel needed in advance since it is not possible to buy more fuel on-site or to leave fuel requested and not taken.
For fuel deliveries on weekends or local holidays, the order must be purchased by Friday or the last business day at 14h00 local time (GMT -6).
Only diesel and gasoline are available, and they normally comply with international standards.
Fuel deliveries are possible the 7 days of the week, from 08:00 to 15:00.
If for some reason it is not possible to take all the pre-purchased fuel, the refund will be processed up to 3 months later, since that is the time that this process lasts.
