Chris, a native of France, honed his culinary skills in his home country before embarking on a journey to the UK. There, he had the privilege of refining his abilities to Michelin-level standards under the guidance of renowned chefs like Chef Michel Roux at The Waterside Inn, an esteemed 3-star restaurant.

In 2008, Chris embarked on his career as a crew chef on a superyacht. Throughout more than two decades, he amassed extensive experience by working on various vessels and assuming different positions, providing exceptional culinary services on luxury yachts and in private residences. This hands-on experience granted him profound insights into the intricacies of luxury yacht and private estate settings.

In 2020, Chris made the decision to compile his wealth of knowledge about the superyacht industry into an accessible book, aiming to help fellow chefs understand and navigate this beloved industry. Adopting the pen name “Tim Dellea,” he authored “The Yacht Chef Guide,” a valuable resource tailored to assist aspiring yacht chefs in their journey.

He takes immense pleasure in spending quality time at home with his wife and their four-year-old daughter. While the industry is incredible, finding a suitable rotation was crucial for him to continue pursuing his passion for cooking on superyachts and to be present for his daughter’s upbringing as much as possible.
