My name is Adriaan, and I was born in Pretoria, South Africa. Over the past 16 years I have been living European countries such as Austria, Spain and now currently Portugal. I started in the hospitality industry at the age of 12, donating my time to charity and church events, eventually working as a freelancer in the city of Vienna.
In 2019 is started my Yachting career on a 52 meter called “MQ2”, as a Deck/Stew. During that time a worked to towards improving my-self, that lead to my graduation from “The International Butler Academy” in the Netherlands, 2021. With all that knowledge and skill sets, gave me the opportunity to become a seasonal Chief Stew on a private 45m vessel call “Libra Omega”. I have now re-joined with my former Chief Stew on a new vessel as a Steward, sharing our passion and love for the yachting industry.
I’m honoured to be nominated for this year’s 2023 The Best Stew Crew Award. Thank you to everyone believed in me and pushed me to become the person I am today.
