My maritime adventure started as child racing sailing dingeys along with voyages through the Caribbean on our family’s sailboat, at the age of 22 I purchased a 30-foot sailboat with the intention to solo around the globe, on route I met my wife Julie, and after roughly 26,000 miles sailed I realised I might as well make a career out of being at sea. I started my qualification journey in New Zealand and later continued with the MCA back in Europe and the Marshall Islands.
I joined the yachting industry in 2001, over the years I was very fortunate to command a number of wonderful yachts working alongside amazing, enthusiastic and passionate owners and crew.
In 2022 I completed the RMI Master Unlimited program gaining an Unlimited CoC. Julie and I are based in the UK with our two dogs.
