From 16 years old to nearly 40 now, I am evolving in the Yachting industry. It’s for me more than a passion, it is a part of me, all the good things I have in my life are thanks to Yachting. I owe it a lot. I’m so happy when I see my young kids starting to love boats and cruising. I want to pass on how I’ve blossomed in this industry and why not following my path.

It’s not my licenses who defined me the most, it’s my experiences and the long hours spent onboard. Due to my background and past experiences, I’m sure there is no situation me and my crew can’t face. We are trained and we have the knowledge, the mind and the network to fix any issue.

I started in the industry as AV/IT manager, I was in contact with Owners and PAs to design their AV/IT installation before 18 years old. I acted from the first meeting and the design of the drawings to the commissioning. I was also part of the worldwide after-sale team. Then the call of the sea was too strong and I had to become a crew member even if I enjoyed a lot my tasks.

I have completed all the steps to become a Captain, I took my time, I didn’t want to fail. Being a successful charters crew and Captain taught me the 24/7 duties, all ISM, ISPS MARPOl and STCW codes, creating and following a budget, I extended my network and my adaptability to the industry. I learned what all the Captain licenses will not provide you. How to manage an international crew and deal with unexpected issues. I have always gained the respect of my crew with having a small rate of turnovers.

Unfortunately, I had to deal with the sickness of my father, so I had to be back ashore. I took this as an opportunity and a challenge to discover another side of the industry, I used my knowledge to create a strong support for the crew to achieve our goals. Bringing them where I need with my adaptability. I learned how reporting and testimonials can be beneficial for vessels & Owners. I was enjoying as Yacht Manager, but the health of my father became worse, and I was in need of more personal time and less travel for a while. I had the opportunity to stay in the industry and again explore a new area to discover the Refit & Repairs shipyards. My mission was to develop the business finding new vessels and partnerships but also bring my expertise to develop a new production and report software.

When My father passed away and my mother was strong enough, I had an opportunity  to be back at sea as Captain to follow 2 constructions and to act as Fleet Captain for a Lamborghini and a 50m Tankoa. Finally, after the sale of the Tankoa in January 24 I had to find another challenge.

I am now on a crazy and absolutely stunning Explorer vessel. This summer we will start with Holland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and the Fjords, the Faroe, Shetland islands and to finish by the west coast of Scotland. Can’t wait to discover these remote areas and to go out of the usual “Yacthies routes”. That is The challenge I was waiting for and I’m sure these cruises in the future will become more and more popular.
