Dan joined the industry in January 2016, after seeking a career change from a project manager role in finance. Having started on a relatively small (30m) sailing boat, he was fortunate to secure a role on SY Athena (90m) where he honed his skills, and over 3 yr progress from Bosun to 2nd Officer, and obtained his Chief Mate <3000gt qualification. Dan has since worked as rotational Chief Officer on SY Perseus^3 (60m) for the past 3 yr, and in June 2023 successfully completed his Masters <3000gt license. In his downtime, Dan is being active, running, playing padel, tennis, reading and trying to master Spanish.
