Having joined the yachting industry in 2006, it has been a joy to work on charter yachts ranging from 47m (sail) to 90m (motor), whilst travelling some 100,000nm around the globe including some off-the-beaten-track itineraries.
Becoming a First Officer, gave me the life-changing opportunity to share my enthusiasm and mentor aspiring crew members by encouraging a safe, fun working environment and assisting them to become professional seafarers. These values remain at the core of my management style today.
In 2014, it was an honour to be given the role of managing a brand-new superyacht marina in the Caribbean for the owner of my first yacht. This allowed me to bring the high standards of yachting to the beautiful rustic island, and to introduce our wonderful world of yacht life to the local team.
Now qualified as Master 3,000GT, I am currently serving as Chief Officer on board the 90m charter M/Y Phoenix 2. Building a successful team operation while promoting crew development and well-being are some of the most enjoyable aspects of my position.
When ashore on leave, I enjoy cuddling my dog at home in the Caribbean.
