My name is Alex Haubrich, and I was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa. I have always had a desire to explore the world and connect with awesome people, which is why Yachting seemed to be the perfect choice for me. In early 2012 I headed to Fort Lauderdale to seek my first position as a deckhand. When I arrived, I had no friends, connections, and no boating experience, but I was determined to do whatever it took to change all that.

The journey wasn’t always comfortable, as I am sure many have and will experience, but looking back 8 years, I am proud of what I have achieved. I’ve traveled and lived in some of the most fascinating places in the world, I have made friends and connections that will last a lifetime, and I am now running a large community which strives to add value and joy to the people and businesses in the Yachtie World. I look forward to looking back at all of our advancement in the years to come.
