Hallo I am Arina Meyer & from South Africa. I am The Chief Stewardess on MY TELEOST.
I have been in the industry since October 2013. Before yachting – I studied Interior Design & Decorating & worked at one of Durban’s Top Interior design firms. My twin sister Arisna and my little brother actually introduced me to yachting, she and my brother joined the industry 6months before I joined it. My first job as a green stewardess was on a world expedition vessel which took me all over the world from the arctic circle to Antarctica & most of the South Pacific. I was lucky enough to have worked with my brother and twin sister at separate times on the same vessel. 2 years
Later I got promoted to second stewardess and occasionally I had to step up into the chief stewardess position. After 4years onboard MY Triton, I felt I needed to move on and step up into my yachting career. I started investing in my career & in myself, did a whole lot of courses and training and I am still doing it, one can never learn enough. I am currently studying Supeyacht Operations with MTA & will sit my diploma examination in April. Along with that I will start my Purser course in April. In May this year I will be onboard MY Teleost for 4 years. Teleost has taught and shown me so much about life,yachting and travel. I did my first proper Medd/ Caribbean season with her. We are a lovely & busy charter boat.
I have amazing Captains & crew we support one another we challenge & build each other up.
