My name is Gordon Percy. I have been a Captain for over 30 years.
My experience ranges from power to sail, from 15m – 72m. I have completed 2 circumnavigations one on a Motor yacht, and one on a Sailing yacht. Otherwise I have clocked up an inordinate number of sea miles in the Caribbean, USA and Mediterranean waters. I have also had the pleasure of supervising build projects in Italy, and two large projects in Holland, one with Devries, and one with Royal Huisman.
Over the years I have met some wonderful crew, and it has been my pleasure to see them grow in the industry to become very successful Captains in their own right. My goal is always to look after the Owners assets, but also for crew to be dealt with in manner that is both fair to the Owner and Crew alike – not always an easy task. I have been able to nurture long standing working relationships with many crew who after 5- 12 years working together, I would like to call my friends as well as working colleagues.
