I began my time in the industry in 2010 for a ‘gap year’ after enjoying a few drinks with a friend on leave from his vessel in Monaco. 3 weeks later I was dayworking with him and have been in the industry ever since. Pre-yachting I was a Behaviour Support Manager at a High School which made for an easy transition working with some select Yacht Owners. I started as a deckhand and worked on predominantly charter boats throughout my time in the industry.
I joined M/Y Lionshare in 2015, then as the First Mate, and took over as Captain in 2017. We operate a busy charter program with very minimal owner usage and I have surrounded myself with a phenomenal crew who help give Lionshare a great name within the industry. We strive to offer the best service possible and recently took the ‘Lion’s Share’ of awards at the Antigua Boat Show.
Other highlights of my time on Lionshare include completing 26 weeks of charter in one year (along with 3 weeks of the owner and two Atlantic Crossings), going through the sale and purchase with the new owner in 2018 and starting up and growing her Instagram account to show what tight spots with can place her in (@mylionshare).
