After obtaining a Degree in Nautical Science and Maritime Transport, I embarked on different kinds of commercial ships such as cruise liners and a research vessel in order to obtain my officer Of the Watch Certificate of Competence.
After some time sailing as an Officer, I received my Chief Mate Unlimited and Master 3000 licence. Thereafter, I returned to university and completed a Master’s Degree in Nautical Science and Maritime Management in order to obtain a Masters Unlimited licence.
I started in the yachting industry on a private 40m and a year later received the opportunity to move to a charter yacht (Edesia) where I have spent the last four years.
Starting my career on small yachts as a Chief Officer has been extremely beneficial as it has allowed me the opportunity to learn all there is to know about the deck department as well as the managerial side of the job.
During my time on Edesia I also had the opportunity to act as a relief captain as well as be involved in training numerous crew members.
I am passionate about the industry; enjoy the challenges it brings and look forward to a new season!
