Karl was born and raised on the small Mediterranean Island of Malta, so the sea was always a very big part of his life from a young age.
After completing his studies in 2011 at the age of 24, he started his maritime experience and took command his first vessel.
Throughout the years he has worked on a number of large cruise ships in various navigational and passenger interaction positions, as well as on yachts of various sizes.
His varied background in the maritime industry provided him with knowledge and extensive sailing experience, giving the opportunity to mentor, inspire and help put those on the right path.
Bit by bit Karl wishes to help break the stigma that exists between people who followed the yachting and commercial shipping routes.
Those who are really passionate about the sea should take the opportunity to learn from each other and become better seafarers.
