I am from Poland
I joined industry 2011,
I came from hotel background. Always loved working in service industry but last years in hotels i felt a bit burned out .
I worked as operation manager in industry and was in charge of overlooking various departments and staff. I loved mentoring and training my teams , working together, cross-training was always pride of my hotel. But recession and few recent years brought a lot of strain on my hotel and therefore staff.
one of my close friends NIco , started working as chef on yachts in 2009, he met me in Manchester, he said :
you are white as a ghost and look exhausted, come and join yachting , guests are great and always say thank you
I could not imagine myself at sea but i did my training packed my life , moved to France in 2011 and said / lets try !
Since then i worked on some amazing vessels , as a stew, chief stew and chef. Throughout my growth in industry i took 2 major points-
learn from people that make me grow,
remember those that try to kill my spirit ,
always fight with negativity .
