‘The crew of MAYAN Queen IV are brought together from many, cultures, countries and disciplines
and through training and ethos come together to active as a cohesive team unit.
Together the crew can boast a combined total of 307 years on board with the longest having served
over 20 years, another 12 crew over 10 years and 20 of 5 years on board. The long retention and
strong training mean the crew are able to provide a high-end service providing once in a life-time
experiences for the Owner and guests. We are able to offer our guests many services on board
including spa treatments, diving and all manner of water sports. We cruise worldwide and are self
managed, run by the Captain and the individual Heads of Department.
It has also afforded the crew the ability to act with the highest professional manner during intense
and stressful situations. This year the crew, while on an overnight passage, were able to go to the aid
of a sinking vessel with several hundred souls on board. Once on scene, launch the rescue boat,
search and rescue many people from out of the water. This was carried out over many individual runs
searching for people in the water and returning them to the coastguard. The rest of the team
contributed when MAYAN QUEEN IV transferred 100 rescued people safely back to shore.’
