I originate from the Midlands of England and began my marine engineering career in the Royal Navy over 20 years ago. During my military service I served mainly onboard anti submarine Frigates which deployed throughout the Atlantic and Pacific oceans as well as much time spent closer to UK waters. This set me on my path into engineering and a love of marine technology.
In 2009 I left the Navy and learning of friends already involved in the industry, I gained my first position onboard a 70m yacht as the second engineer. I have since spent over 10 years in the yachting industry on a variety of vessels as a Chief Engineer as well as performing the role of Project Engineer on two new build vessels.
Now a family man with two young children, I have settled back into a rotation job onboard Motor Yacht Sixth Sense, 74m Amels which I joined during the build in 2018.
