I am from a small country town in South Africa called Kakamas. I grew up playing rugby from a young age and was fortunate enough to make a career out of it for 2 years. After my rugby career, I got into diving and kiteboarding and shortly after that, I fell in love with sailing. I started my maritime career on a small catamaran in the Maldives which needed to be delivered to Perth, Australia. After completing the double-handed Indian Ocean crossing and spending 35 days at sea I decided I was ready to pursue a career in the yachting industry. I have currently been working for a year and a half on a 50m private/charter motor yacht cruising the Mediterranean.
Having been in a professional team environment for a few years I strive to always give my absolute best in any situation. My strongest attributes are being reliable, being open to learning, and doing whatever is necessary to get the job done. I recently completed my EDH and I am currently looking to complete my Officer of the Watch ticket in the upcoming years.
