I have been working in the Superyacht industry since 2009, prior to that I was in commercial shipping since 2000.
Since joining yachting, I have been very fortunate to have worked on some great yachts, including M/Y ICON, where I began my yachting career, M/Y Dubai – one of the largest yachts in the world, M/Y Barbara – first as build Captain and then operational Captain, which is a great experience to be involved all the way through to operational status, and currently as Captain here on M/Y Nirvana.
I first heard about the industry in 2007, and although it took me some time to get my first start in the industry, I have enjoyed every minute of it since. I have been fortunate enough to cruise in the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Middle East, Indian Ocean, and Far East so far in my career.
I look forward to many more years in the industry, and to further developing my career, but at this stage more importantly the careers of those individuals I am fortunate enough to work with. The Superyacht industry will always provide a great career for those motivated individuals who are keen to progress through the ranks.
