Oleksandra Havrylenko

My name is Oleksandra (Sasha) Havrylenko. I live in Kyiv, Ukraine.

I have been working on yachts in various stewardess roles now for 6 and a half years. Prior
to working on yachts, I spent 9 years working in a number of jobs in hospitality shoreside,
including bar work, restaurants and I was selected to work as a stewardess at the 2012 Euro
football finals in Kyiv.

I had always wanted to work on yachts, as I wanted to travel the world and see different
places and meet many new people from different backgrounds., So when I was offered my
first position, I was over the moon. Since then, I have carried out various stewardess and
interior roles onboard yachts and been promoted from junior stewardess to second
stewardess and then on my previous boat to senior stewardess. I have had different
experience working on both charter and private yachts. I enjoy aspects of both, as when
you are on a charter there is a high turnaround of guests so there are always new challenges
to face. However, on a privately owned yacht, I like getting to know the owners, it is more
personal.

I worked on M/Y Eclipse for almost 2 years. This was a totally different experience and
challenge compared to working on smaller yachts. It was like a cruise ship! Here, as senior
stewardess.

When I am not at work, I have a number of hobbies. I like exercise, mainly running and
cycling. I also do a lot of yoga and the occasional game of tennis. I enjoy painting and
reading. Also, when I am on leave, I am sharing instructor in the training program of Entry
Level Yacht Stewardess Course. I teach girls the basic knowledge of working on yachts, sharing my
years of experience in this industry. Practicing service and housekeeping skills.

My goal is to help girls establish a strong foundation in this industry, and I would like to see
them fulfil their maximum potential in the near future.

Overall, I keep busy on my leave, but now and then I do love a holiday abroad lying on a
beach or by the pool!
