I have an extensive maritime background and a love for the sea since childhood. Ranging from a Naval Cadet for 5 years (2002 SA Naval Cadet of the year), racing sail boats at National and World Championship level (2003 Hobie 14 Youth World Champion) and over a decade in the luxury yacht industry.
Currently Chief Officer/ Relief Captain on M/Y Azteca and with a Master 3000GT Cert of Competence. More than 100,000NM logged at sea on a variety of vessels throughout the years. I strongly believe in using the energy of the whole team to contribute towards the successful operation of the program.
A well-travelled, adventurous chap. Done expeditions to remote locations such as Antarctica (Ellsworth mountains/ Vinson summiteer), Patagonia, Jordan, North Pakistan (Karakoram mountains/ Gondogoro LA summiteer), Africa (Kilimanjaro summiteer via Western Breach), Nepal (Himalayas/ Himlung Himal 7000m reached). Always planning the next adventure.
