Growing up in the eastern suburbs of Sydney Australia surrounded by some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, the ocean was always a huge part of my life.. and when I found yachting 7 years ago I thought “This is it, this is what I’m supposed to be doing”.
I took on my first chief stew role in 2016 and it has been a pretty amazing journey of learning and growing ever since.
I really believe in leading by example and finding that perfect balance between a solid work ethic and a whole lot of fun! I always endeavor to keep the interior at the highest standard & give the guests the best experience possible, whilst also finding the time for fun stewardess training, and allowing the girls to experiment with their creativity and utilize all the skills and talents that they bring to the boat as individuals. It is very important to me that morale stays high on the interior at all times, and I strive to make sure that work is a place my girls genuinely want to be.
One of my favorite things about being a chief stew is seeing girls within my team grow and progress within the industry. In the past few years I have had two of my stewardesses jump up into the role of second stew and it has honestly been a beautiful thing to watch.
At the end of the day, if both the guests, the captain, and my team are happy…. then I have done my job!
