Captain Rory started his seagoing career in the Merchant Navy and moved to the yachting industry in 2003. He is a qualified Master (Unlimited) and was an avid sailor in his youth. He worked his way through the ranks on yachts from 38m to 138m in length gaining his first command position at age 29. Rory has sailed extensively in the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and as far afield as Alaska with 33 Atlantic crossing under his belt. In his spare time Rory enjoys music and fishing on the lakes and rivers of his native Ireland.
