A ETO CoC III/holder& a qualified Electrical & Electronic Engineer graduate currently working as Chief Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) on board yachts which involves maintaining, repairing and project supervison for the new building boats & yachts including installation of new systems, switchboard maintenance,ABB azhipiod & SAFT hybrid propulsion (Lithium Ion battery Backup of 3 MW) working with all navigation equipment and GMDSS as well as all AVIT equipment(Crestron & Lutron trained) on board.
I have also had 4 years of sea time working in yachts and 4 years on cruise vessels in an ETO position & prior to which I started my career in Offshore spending my 4 years in Merchant Tanker ships & LNG carriers.
A wide knowledge base of all the ships systems, Including working on high voltage switchgear (HV management ticket), satellite communications, propulsion, internal telecommunications and vast variety of audio/visual (AV) entertainment equipment plus much more.
The ability to learn new skills and to adapt to a multitude of tasks is key. Troubleshooting and keeping up high maintenance comes second nature this meaning quicker resolutions, sustaining good quality and keeping the owner & employer satisfied.
