Callisto is a dual season very heavily used private yacht, with the owners often living onboard for months at a time. The yachts schedule is and has always been very busy with high usage throughout the year. Despite the long seasons and busy schedule, Callisto has always prided herself on providing crew with a happy home and positive workplace.
In return, over the years the crew have provided loyalty, commitment and respect to her owners and their family. Between the 18 crew, they have amassed a huge total of over 83 years of continued service onboard! All Heads of Department have had at least 5 years of continuous service, with the Captain serving 11 years and the Chief Engineer 12 years. This longevity along with the excellent and in-depth training new crew are given means that the guests’ needs and expectations are always met and exceeded.
Callisto’s Captain and her crew know the families preferences inside out and can often pre-empt their wishes before they even wish them! Never resting on their laurels, the crew are constantly striving to improve and enhance the guest experiences, and are continually determined to make each season even better than the last.
All crew are extremely proud to work on such a beautiful vessel and everyone is motivated and dedicated to maintaining the pristine condition of the yacht, inside and out. Subsequently, Callisto a 15-year-old Feadship looks even better than the day she was launched.
Together crew and owners have circumnavigated the world twice, cruised the Australian east coast and South Pacific Islands as well as extensive cruising in the Mediterranean and Caribbean. During these trips they have celebrated milestones, births and marriages together. Wining this award would celebrate not only the crew and captains achievements but would honour the close relationship they have with the owners.
